Ingredients

  • 6 oz box Stove Top Stuffing Mix
  • ¾ cup beef broth low or no sodium optional
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 lbs lean ground beef 80/20 fat ratio

For the Gravy:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Stove Top stuffing mix and beef broth. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  • Add the eggs and Worcestershire sauce, and mix well.
  • Add the ground beef and mix until just combined (don’t overmix).
  • Transfer the mixture to the baking dish, shaping it into an even loaf.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • While the meatloaf bakes, prepare the gravy: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add beef broth while whisking to avoid lumps. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  • Once the meatloaf is done, let it rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice and serve with the gravy poured over.

Notes

  • Feel free to experiment with different stuffing flavors such as chicken or herb.
  • For a cheesier version, sprinkle shredded cheese inside the meatloaf or on top before baking.
  • This recipe can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours before baking.
