Ingredients

  • 16 oz Polish sausage kielbasa, or your choice of rope sausage or link sausages
  • 1/2 large yellow onion sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 3 bell peppers any color, seeds and stems removed, chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prep the ingredients: Chop the bell peppers and onions into 1-inch pieces. Slice the sausage into 1/4-inch rounds.
  • Season: Place the sausage, bell peppers, and onions into a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive or avocado oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Air fry: Transfer the seasoned mixture to the air fryer basket, ensuring it is not overcrowded. Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook for 12 minutes, tossing halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Check and serve: After 12 minutes, check for crispness. If desired, cook for an additional 2 minutes for more crispness. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Sausage variety: Feel free to swap the sausage for chicken sausageturkey sausage, or spicy sausages like chorizo or andouille for a different flavor.
  • Vegetables: You can add zucchinimushrooms, or sweet potatoes for extra texture and nutrition.
  • Spiciness: Add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper if you like extra heat.
